Meeting Topic: How Routine, Ritual and Spirituality Can Help You as You Cope with Grief
This free support group provides a place to connect with others who are also going through loss, share memories of the person who died, learn about the grief process, and explore new ideas to help you cope and heal. We use articles and resources from authors who specialize in grief. A packet of information will be provided to you to help facilitate discussion.
We will meet Thursday evenings from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Oct. 17 and 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. October 24 – December 5, taking a week off for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Where: Fieldstone Administrative Building for Carle Health. The address is 4116 Fieldstone Rd. Champaign. The building is just north of Springfield Ave. off Staley Rd. Enter the main entrance doors #1 or #2. A staff member will be there to let you in the second set of glass doors.
The group is open to all grieving adults in the community who have experienced a loss through death and led by a trained facilitator. Call (217) 902-3301 or email jean.oliver-holder@carle.com if you are interested in registering for our next in-person group.
Masking Etiquette: Currently, masking is welcome if you feel the need to protect yourself. Currently, Carle Health policy is that masking is encouraged, if you have congestion or a cough. Please use your judgement in assessing your risk and the risk of others. All ages and people with varying health conditions attend this group.
