For Moms

Being a mom isn't easy, we get that. We can help.

The Healthy Beginnings initiative is bringing an evidence based framework to the Champaign-Urbana and Vermilion County communities. You’ll meet with an experienced nurse you can trust, before and after your baby is born. Every 1-3 weeks, you’ll meet with a nurse right in the comfort of your home.

That’s where building your relationship with the nurse starts. Once enrolled, we will work with you and your family to help bring the healthcare and support you need. As you continue to grow in parenthood, we will provide resources that fit your individual circumstances and develop our relationship together.

Who can participate
The service is free. It’s for moms living in the Champaign and Vermilion County area who are pregnant.

Healthy Beginnings is about building an ongoing relationship with a nurse you can trust. Our goal is to help you create a positive life for your family. We can help you:

• Make healthy choices for you and your family
• Create goals to set up you and your family for a positive future
• Form a solid plan for when your baby arrives
• Create a supportive relationship for your child's strong start
• Provide support and information for the whole family
• Help you Network with local community resources to assist families
