Volunteers at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital serve in a variety of roles to enhance our patients’ experience and to support philanthropic projects. Volunteer activities are coordinated through the Auxiliary and Carle Hospice.
Adult Volunteers
The Auxiliary was formed in 1953. Since then, members have provided hundreds of thousands of hours serving patients and staff of Carle Richland Memorial Hospital. Volunteers, if serving internally, must submit proof of an annual flu shot (or medical declination form). Effective September 20, 2021, the COVID-19 vaccine is required for Carle Health volunteers.
Volunteers must be 16 years or older and, if serving internally, submit proof of an annual flu shot (or medical declination form). Effective September 20, 2021, the COVID-19 vaccine is required for all Carle Health volunteers.
Hospice Volunteers
Carle Richland Hospice volunteers touch the lives of terminally ill patients and their families through compassion and companionship. Hospice volunteers are an essential part of a multi-faceted team whose focus is providing the patient with the highest quality of life. As a volunteer, you can help deliver dignified care by training as an in-home Hospice volunteer, bereavement volunteer or provide essential support as an administrative volunteer.
Carle volunteers have access to the volunteer information center. Here, current volunteers can review their profiles, schedule shifts and review open shifts within their specified assignment. Be sure to use the email you have registered with Volunteer Services.
