Flu vaccines are encouraged for anyone six months and older, and those with underlying health conditions or compromised immune systems.
Flu vaccines are proven to prevent some cases of influenza and help shorten the duration and severity of others. If you have questions about whether the flu vaccine is a good option for you, talk to your primary care provider.
At Carle Health, we encourage additional precautions by increasing hand washing and limiting contact with anyone displaying flu symptoms. If you are experiencing flu symptoms, we ask that you wear a mask at any of our walk-in flu shot clinics, unless medically unable to do so or children under the age of 2.
Carle Health recommends flu shots for all our patients and community members, no matter where you receive it. Flu shots will be available to anyone 6 months and older at Carle Health clinics unless otherwise specified. Nasal Flu Mist will not be available at any Carle Health location. High dose will be available for patients 65 and older, or as prescribed by your provider.
For local flu season resources available in your area, please call the 2025 Carle Health Seasonal Flu Hotline at (217) 326-5000.
