These renovations are a testament to our ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive behavioral health services for those who rely on us. Changes include new flooring, fresh paint, updated furniture, and enhanced safety measures – all designed to create a more welcoming and therapeutic care environment for our patients and staff. The $2 million investment is partly funded by generous contributions to Carle Health Center for Philanthropy in Greater Peoria.
“We are committed to leading the region with the best quality behavioral healthcare and experience for patients, which is possible thanks to the investment by Carle Health and our generous philanthropic supporters. This renovation represents a shared commitment to have these important services available in our community. These renovations will greatly enhance the care environment to foster healing and improve the safety of our team members, patients and their families,” Mary Sparks Thompson, president of Trillium Place, an affiliate of Carle Health, said.Introduced to the Peoria area in 2003, the Adult Community Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit accommodates 22 total beds across 15 individual living spaces. An experienced staff of clinical care specialists care for patients 24/7 and help them address mental health concerns such as psychosis, schizophrenia and psychiatric comorbidity.
In total, Carle Health Greater Peoria proudly offers specialty mental health and addiction recovery services in
both the inpatient and outpatient settings for children, teens adults and seniors. This scope of behavioral healthcare includes 77 licensed inpatient beds for adults and 44 licensed inpatient beds for children and adolescents. “Our patients and their families are our top priority, and this investment allows us to provide a care setting that responds to their needs and inspires a positive healing path,” Tess Montano, RN, Community Behavioral Health nurse manager, said. “We are devoted to the wellbeing of those we serve and look forward to continuing to provide great behavioral healthcare in this newly enhanced unit.”
